At Navigate, we’re here to help organisations make our planet better.
That can be via conservation programmes, sustainability goals, or, as in the South West Heritage Trust (SWHT) case, connecting local communities through collective spaces.
We’re pleased SWHT have chosen us at Navigate to help them engage more people with Somerset’s heritage and to grow support for their work with communities and collections.
South West Heritage Trust was founded in 2014 as an independent charity for Somerset, Devon and the South West. They aim to celebrate and protect the area’s rich heritage, helping everyone enjoy it now and in the future.
They currently operate across six main sites and deliver a wide range of heritage experiences for people of all ages and backgrounds.
They care for over three million objects ranging from outstanding geology and archaeology to textiles and fine art. In short, they’re a vital organisation for the southwest of England.
Where We'll Be Supporting
Our focus will be to support the internal team to grow visitors to their heritage sites with a focus on Somerset Rural Life Museum in Glastonbury and the near-by Avalon Archaeology that opened earlier this year.
At Navigate, we specialise in helping tourism and conservation organisations grow marketing through revenue generation.
Starting with the valuable Google Grant activity to boost traffic and their digital presence, we hope to support their team to build their resources and marketing awareness across the region, both for tourists to the area, and also for locals to engage with.
“We’re excited to be working with Navigate and using their expertise to help develop a resilient and relevant charity. Their commitment to helping organisations positively impact communities aligns perfectly with our goals, and we’re happy to be working with a great regional partner.”
Beth Jerrett // PR & Communications Manager, South West Heritage Trust
“Having visited the museums I know first-hand how special these sites are. Being connected to our landscape and heritage isn’t just about the past but learning how to improve the future for our communities and planet.”
